Thursday 1st January - walks **** – Felixstowe and Ipswich – sunny periods and cold.

Walk 1 – first sunrise walk. Walk 2 – Ipswich waterfront to Portman Road.

Despite not going to bed until around 1.30 last night Mag and I left home at 7.30 to catch the first sunrise of the new year! It was a good one too with thw sky turning red, in fact I had to jog to the end of the road to get the best pics:) I got a cracking selfie of us set against the brilliant sky as we walked around a mile and a half before returning home for panackes when Arlo finailly got out of bed! We then played a top game the Grandson Arlo had made before we had lunch, then four of us set of set off to Ipswich to watch the town entertain Oxford as I had been treated to a ticket! We parked behind Holywells and walked through the park, along the waterfront to our seats high up in the stands, great for watching the match but we missed a cracking sunset! Sadly the matxh was pretty poor but at least Ipswich won 2 – 1 going 2nd in the league!
